Welcome to The Wildcrafting Woman, a lifestyle and wellness blog! My name is Alyssa, a health advocate and traveler among (many) other things. I currently teach Nutrition and Gardening at the Camellia Waldorf School in Sacramento, CA. I am also a Degreed Nutritionist, having earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in the small, sleepy town of San Luis Obispo, where I fell in love with food, coffee, community, cycling, and climbing.
I've got very strong interests in holistic health, functional foods, mindful eating, and nutrition education. Outside of the kitchen, I climb rocks; hike; love my wife, dog, and cat; drink lots of coffee; care for the environment; do my best to live waste-free; and am an activist for causes I believe in. On The Wildcrafting Woman, you'll find food, wellness, and travel articles with miscellaneous blurbs sometimes sprinkled in.
Thank you for stopping by to explore my space on the big old world of the internet!
